A Walkthrough of our Tech for Pandemic EBT

In response to Covid-19, the FNS has authorized flexibility in administering the SNAP program at this time. As part of this larger effort, Pandemic EBT was created for children who receive free and reduced lunch impacted by school closures.

According to the FNS memo issued on March 20th, “In instances where P-EBT eligible children are not part of an existing SNAP household, the State agency will obtain the following information prior to providing benefits:

Name and signature of the head of household (which may be electronic).
Number and names of eligible children in the household
Address of household on record with the school district
Mailing address if different than address on record with the school district”

Following guidance from the FNS, mRelief could build a platform to support families enrolling in Pandemic EBT by sharing this information with their SNAP office.
